Aubrey Peeples

Aubrey Peeples is an American actress and singer. She was awarded the best actress award for her performance in Nashville, the 2012 drama in which she played Layla Grant. She also was awarded the prize in Sharknado 2013 in which she was Claudia Shepard. In addition, she was the lead character in the movie Jem and the Holograms, (2015). Aubrey Peeples grew up in Lake Mary Florida by parents Wendy and Ashley. She also has an older sister, Ally. Aubrey was an actor with Orlando Repertory Theatre during her growing up. Aubrey was a graduate of Lake Mary Preparatory School where she was valedictory speakers for the class of 2012. Harvard University was willing to admit her. She declined the offer twice. The second time was due to her desire to be a part of Nashville. Peeples played in Drop Dead Diva (2009) Burn Notice (2007) Austin & Ally And Ally and Alley (2011) Grey's Anatomy (2005) and NecessaryRoughness (1991) as a Guest Star. The actress was also in two television-based movies: Ace Ventura Jr. Pet Detective (2009 and The Good Mother). She was a major player on the Nashville series, where she played Layla Grant. Peeples spoke about her bipolar condition in an interview she gave the magazine NKD Magazine. Indiewire listed Peeples in September 2014 as one of the top American young actors.
